Join our new 3-day workshop "Embodied Inquiry for Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy” that aims to introduce participants to embodied inquiry, a modality derived from mindfulness-based interventions and other process-based and somatic therapies. Inquiry requires the use of mindfulness both personally and professionally, with an emphasis on a present moment orientation and awareness of sensory experience. It relies on supporting the client's capacity to attend to what is salient in the present moment of their experience, and help them investigate whatever is arising with curiosity and with a non-judgmental attitude.

This course has been accredited through the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), the l'Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Support your clients as they navigate and interpret their psychedelic experiences

Through this 6-week program, you will learn how to approach problems using relevant readings and research, and how to apply this knowledge to psychedelic-assisted therapy using case-based learning. The cases will explore decision making regarding what medicine and psychotherapeutic approaches may be most appropriate in specific contexts. We will focus on four key indications: Mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, addictive disorders, chronic and serious illnesses.

After this course, you'll be able to:

  • Apply mindful and somatic inquiry skills at an introductory level

  • Describe the components of inquiry

  • Utilize inquiry skills to help clients process challenging experiences

  • Direct clients to mindfully attend and stay with experience using the body as a source of information and anchor for attention
