The Fundamentals of Assisted-Psychedelic Therapy will help equip mental health professionals and therapists with the foundational knowledge and skills to practice psychedelic-assisted therapy. This is a unique opportunity to learn and interact with our established Numinus practitioners as they share their real-life experiences in providing integrative and transformative mental wellness.

This course has been accredited through the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), the l'Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Set the foundations for a strong practice of psychedelic-assisted therapy

Through this 8-week program, learn Numinus' model of care for psychedelic-assisted therapy that is grounded in evidence, committed to client safety and rooted in justice, equity, dignity, and inclusion. The Numinus training team specializes in mindfulness, somatic, experiential and trauma-sensitive approaches, bringing a unique lens to this emerging field.

After this course, you'll be able to:

  • Describe the unique vulnerabilities of clients participating in psychedelic-assisted therapy and cultivate the awareness and practices necessary to meet these vulnerabilities safely and ethically.

  • Apply and demonstrate relevant therapist competencies, skills, and orientations (including the Numinus care model) at an introductory level for the purposes of delivering psychedelic-assisted therapy.

  • Describe the Numinus guiding approaches within the context of integrative and transformative mental wellness as they relate to psychedelic-assisted therapy.

  • Apply facilitation skills specific to psychedelic-assisted therapy during Preparation, Medicine, and Integration Sessions.

  • Identify and respond to burnout, vicarious trauma, transference, and countertransference experienced by the therapist.
