Module Description
In this module, we did a refresher on the seven guiding approaches of the Numinus care model: integrative and transformative mental wellness, justice, equity, dignity, and inclusion (JEDI), cultural safety and humility, trauma- and violence-informed care, connection, mindfulness, and embodiment. We also looked at the characteristics of the therapeutic stance which include inner director therapy, unconditional positive regard, love, empathetic abiding presence and listening, being grounded, self-regulated, and aligned, orientation towards phenomenology, relationship-centered care, appreciation for human suffering, self-awareness and ethical integrity, and top-down vs bottom-up processing. We also revisited some of the expected effects and adverse effects of the medicine as well as the contraindications and concomitant medications. Best of luck with your Observational Period!
