Module Description
In this module, we learned about the molecular structure of MDMA as well as how MDMA can affect the brain. We explored a brief history of MDMA and how it started off as a failed blood clot medication to a substance used recreationally and for MDMA-assisted therapy. We also learned about some key players in the history of MDMA-assisted therapy including Alexander Shulgin and Rick Doblin of MAPS. Finally, we looked at the legal status of MDMA in Canada and the United States.
