Module Summary
In our first module, we took a look at where the term psychedelic comes from and why it may not be the most applicable term for certain groups or medicines due to stigma and/or not being reflective of its sacred and historical use. We met the medicines and explored the different categories of psychedelics including the classic psychedelics like mushrooms, ayahuasca, LSD; the empathogens or entactogens like MDMA; the dissociative anesthetics like ketamine; and the atypicals like cannabis.
