“Integration creates health and expands our sense of who we are in life, connecting us to others and a wider sense of ourselves.”
–Dan Siegel, M.D. (2012, as cited in Siegel, 2012).
After discussing important considerations for Preparation and Medicines Sessions, we will turn our attention now to Integration Sessions which is the third phase of psychedelic-assisted therapy as discussed in Module 1. In this module, we will look at some key considerations for facilitating Integration Sessions as well as a framework that we recommend employing to empower clients to get the most out of their psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
Apply the integration framework to Integration Sessions in order to help clients integrate their psychedelic experiences into their life in the hopes of creating long-term change.
Assist clients to use trauma-specific and regulation skills when required (outside Window of Tolerance).
