In the DSM-5, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (OCRD) and Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders were separated into their own distinct categories, whereas in the previous iteration, the DSM-4, these conditions were included under anxiety disorders.
While anxiety remains a key feature in obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (hence why it was included in the video on previous page), obsessive-compulsive and related disorders were clustered separately due to symptom similarity and a high degree of comorbidity between disorders within this category (Sharma et al., 2021).
